As a Wifey to Troy, Mama to Sam, and a Prodigal Daughter of The King, I look to find balance and joy in all I do in my daily life. Most days I can be found, coffee in hand, in our kitchen or garden, and I spend my nights hangin' with my Lovey and a neat pour of bourbon under the stars. I find so much joy in my daughter’s laugh, a cold nudge of my pup’s nose, the sound of the ocean, and the crisp air of the northwoods. Embracing the slow, little moments brings peace to my soul.
In the search to refine my life and career, I stumbled across photo editing for fine art wedding and family portrait photographers. With an already developed passion for photography as a whole, I have FALLEN...IN...LOVE with this path of editing that has been put before me. In an effort to find time to support the family income without being weighed down by a career that causes me to miss out on all those precious moments with my family and friends, wedding and family portrait editing has fit seamlessly into our life. But the best part is, I now am able to help my clients find that same peace by helping carry their editing load!
Some of you may be familiar with the Biblical story of the Cord of Three Strands. From Ecclesiastes 4, two are better than one for many reasons:
~ They have a better return for their labor (Expanding business = $$$).
~ They help each other up when one falls (I got you boo).
~ They can keep each other warm in the cold (my personal favorite).
~ And they can defend themselves when threatened (cuz sometimes people are not so kind).
I will be eternally grateful for the support and encouragement that my amazing husband has shown me with this freelance business venture, but he and I are just Two Strands of the Cord. With the Help of The Lord, A Cord of Three Strands is Not Quickly Broken. We make an amazing team that can help support others in all aspects of our life to rise to their full potential. Grab onto this Cord, and let me lift the distraction of your editing burden, so you can see how far you can take your photography passion. Working together makes us all stronger on our journey. Together, we are going to do Great Things.
I believe in finding a balance between hard work and times of rest. I believe that time spent building relationships and values with those we love is the most important legacy we can leave behind. I believe while it is possible to carry a burden by yourself, sharing the yoke is how we are created as humans. I believe having your support system strongly surrounding you is better than going at it alone. I believe it takes courage to move past your comfort zone and trust someone with something you have poured your soul into. I believe that freeing up space in your life allows for new adventures, opportunities, relationships, and creativity to flow freely into your life. I believe there is an elevated place waiting for all of us if we choose to embrace it.
